004 Signals Attributes - Wave Frequency

Frequency describes a behavior of waves. Waves travel away from the source that generates them. How fast the waves travel, or more specifically, how many waves are generated over a one-second period of time, is known as frequency.

In next figure, there are two signals "Red" and "Blue", as you can see the blue signal has lower frequency comparing to the blue signal where blue signal repeats it self more than the red signal, in other words, the blue signal is hitting the same value in shorter time comparing to the red signal.

Frequency is define as the number of times the signal completes it period over one second.
